As I reflect on the turbulent times we’re living in, I’m reminded of the biblical story of Jonah and the city of Nineveh. Jonah’s prophetic message—“Forty more days and Nineveh will be overthrown”—saved the city from destruction when its people repented and turned back to God. Today, I believe America is facing its own "Nineveh Moment."
I recently spoke with Dr. Larry Keefauver, author of Prayers of the Presidents, and together we’ve launched the 40 Days to Save America campaign—a movement of prayer, fasting, and repentance from September 26 through November 5, 2024, leading up to the Presidential Election. As our nation faces a critical crossroads, I believe we are being called to intercede for America like never before.
Joining me in this effort are my co-authors, Pastor Paul Begley (co-author of Revelation 911) and Dr. Paul McGuire (co-author of Trumpocalypse and The Babylon Code), as we unite our voices in this urgent call to prayer. Both men have been integral to awakening the church and rallying believers to recognize the prophetic signs of our time. Together, we believe this is a critical moment for our nation, a time for us to come together in humility and repentance to seek God’s mercy for America.
This campaign is born out of a deep conviction that we must rally faith leaders, believers, and anyone concerned about the future of our country to seek God’s intervention. I’ve seen firsthand the prophetic parallels between America today and ancient Nineveh. In my new book, the #1 bestseller The Trump Code (Charisma House/FrontLine, September 17, 2024), I explore how we are at a tipping point—either we turn back to our Judeo-Christian roots, or we risk losing the freedoms our nation was founded upon.
When I interviewed Billy Graham in 2013, he warned of America’s "Nineveh Moment," (📺 Watch America’s Nineveh Moment: The Power of Prayer and Divine Mercy at the end of this message) and his words have never felt more urgent. Graham believed that unless America repents and returns to God, we will face grave consequences. I believe his warning was prophetic, and now, more than ever, we need to heed that call.
In The Trump Code, I dive into the mysteries and prophecies surrounding America’s future. I explore the spiritual battle that is unfolding in our nation today, from the "Great Reset" agenda being pushed by global elites to the UN’s Agenda 2030. These are real threats to our freedom and way of life, and I believe that this election is crucial in determining the path America will take.
But I also believe there’s hope. Just as the people of Nineveh turned back to God and were spared, I believe that if we unite in prayer and repentance, we can witness a national revival. This is why we’ve launched the 40 Days to Save America campaign. It’s not just about an election—it’s about the future of our nation and the legacy we leave for our children and grandchildren.
Alongside The Trump Code, Dr. Larry Keefauver’s Prayers of the Presidents offers a powerful resource for this campaign. His book includes the prayers of all 46 U.S. Presidents, showing how faith and prayer have guided our nation through times of crisis. From George Washington to Abraham Lincoln to the present day, our leaders have turned to God in moments of uncertainty, and we must do the same.
As we begin this 40-day campaign, I encourage you to join us. Pray for our nation. Fast for its future. Repent on behalf of our people. Together, we can make a difference.
I’ve reached out to many faith leaders in my network, and we’re spreading this message through media interviews, social media, newsletters, and more. I’ll also be writing for Charisma magazine and Charisma News and other outlets to promote this movement and encourage believers to get involved. Our goal is to mobilize a massive prayer army across the nation, calling on God to save America.
This is a critical moment in our nation’s history, and we cannot afford to be passive. Join us in 40 Days to Save America. Let’s pray, fast, and seek God’s mercy for our country. Together, we can bring about the revival we so desperately need.

Daily President’s Prayer
Today’s prayer comes from President Abraham Lincoln's prayer during the Civil War. Lincoln, who often quoted my ancestor "Ode to Joy" poet and playwright Friedrich von Schiller, was the last president to call for a National Day of Prayer, Fasting and Humiliation, before President Trump issued a proclamation for a "Day of Prayer and Return" during The Return: National and Global Day of Prayer and Repentance on September 26, 2020. As amazing as it may seem, my coauthor nationally syndicated radio show host Paul McGuire and I called for this in our 2018 #1 bestseller Trumpocalypse, and then by a major miracle of the Holy Spirit, it happened, with 250,000 people attending the event on the National Mall in Washington, D.C. and 42 million watching online. It was the biggest miracle of my life, but I believe has an even bigger one in store for us.
President Abraham Lincoln’s most famous prayer-like proclamation during the Civil War was his Proclamation Appointing a National Fast Day, issued on March 30, 1863. Though it is not a personal prayer, it serves as a powerful call for national repentance, prayer, fasting, and humility. Here’s an excerpt from that proclamation:
Proclamation Appointing a National Fast Day
March 30, 1863
“We have been the recipients of the choicest bounties of Heaven; we have been preserved, these many years, in peace and prosperity; we have grown in numbers, wealth, and power, as no other nation has ever grown. But we have forgotten God… It behooves us, then, to humble ourselves before the offended Power, to confess our national sins, and to pray for clemency and forgiveness…”

Proclamation Appointing a National Fast Day
Washington, D.C.
March 30, 1863
Senator James Harlan of Iowa, whose daughter later married President Lincoln's son Robert, introduced this Resolution in the Senate on March 2, 1863. The Resolution asked President Lincoln to proclaim a national day of prayer and fasting. The Resolution was adopted on March 3, and signed by Lincoln on March 30, one month before the fast day was observed.
By the President of the United States of America.
A Proclamation.
Whereas, the Senate of the United States, devoutly recognizing the Supreme Authority and just Government of Almighty God, in all the affairs of men and of nations, has, by a resolution, requested the President to designate and set apart a day for National prayer and humiliation.
And whereas it is the duty of nations as well as of men, to own their dependence upon the overruling power of God, to confess their sins and transgressions, in humble sorrow, yet with assured hope that genuine repentance will lead to mercy and pardon; and to recognize the sublime truth, announced in the Holy Scriptures and proven by all history, that those nations only are blessed whose God is the Lord.
And, insomuch as we know that, by His divine law, nations like individuals are subjected to punishments and chastisements in this world, may we not justly fear that the awful calamity of civil war, which now desolates the land, may be but a punishment, inflicted upon us, for our presumptuous sins, to the needful end of our national reformation as a whole People? We have been the recipients of the choicest bounties of Heaven. We have been preserved, these many years, in peace and prosperity. We have grown in numbers, wealth and power, as no other nation has ever grown. But we have forgotten God. We have forgotten the gracious hand which preserved us in peace, and multiplied and enriched and strengthened us; and we have vainly imagined, in the deceitfulness of our hearts, that all these blessings were produced by some superior wisdom and virtue of our own. Intoxicated with unbroken success, we have become too self-sufficient to feel the necessity of redeeming and preserving grace, too proud to pray to the God that made us!
It behooves us then, to humble ourselves before the offended Power, to confess our national sins, and to pray for clemency and forgiveness.
Now, therefore, in compliance with the request, and fully concurring in the views of the Senate, I do, by this my proclamation, designate and set apart Thursday, the 30th. day of April, 1863, as a day of national humiliation, fasting and prayer. And I do hereby request all the People to abstain, on that day, from their ordinary secular pursuits, and to unite, at their several places of public worship and their respective homes, in keeping the day holy to the Lord, and devoted to the humble discharge of the religious duties proper to that solemn occasion.
All this being done, in sincerity and truth, let us then rest humbly in the hope authorized by the Divine teachings, that the united cry of the Nation will be heard on high, and answered with blessings, no less than the pardon of our national sins, and the restoration of our now divided and suffering Country, to its former happy condition of unity and peace.
In witness whereof, I have hereunto set my hand and caused the seal of the United States to be affixed.
Done at the City of Washington, this thirtieth day of March, in the year of our Lord one thousand eight hundred and sixty-three, and of the Independence of the United States the eighty seventh.
By the President: Abraham Lincoln
William H. Seward, Secretary of State.

Here’s an excerpt from Dr. Larry Keefauver’s Prayers of the Presidents.
Today I leave you; I go to assume a task more difficult than that which devolved upon General Washington. Unless the great God who assisted him, shall be with and aid me, I must fail. But if the same omniscient mind, and the same Almighty arm that directed and protected him, shall guide and support me, I shall not fail, I shall succeed.
Let us all pray that the God of our fathers may not forsake us now. To Him I commend you all–permit me to ask that with equal sincerity and faith, you all will invoke His wisdom and guidance for me. With these few words I must leave you–for how long I know not.
Friends, one and all, I must now bid you an affectionate farewell.
—FEBRUARY 12, 1861 LINCOLN’S DEPARTURE FOR WASHINGTON, DC—
As we reflect on these prayers, let us remember how our nation’s leaders have turned to God in times of great uncertainty and challenge. Lincoln’s proclamation is a reminder that, throughout history, faith and humility have been cornerstones of America's strength. In moments of national crisis, our leaders have often sought divine guidance, calling for prayer and repentance to heal the nation.
Together, through prayer, fasting, and collective repentance, we believe we can witness God’s hand move powerfully across America. Join us, stand firm in faith, and let’s make these 40 days a defining moment for our nation’s future.

Prayer for America’s Restoration and Repentance
Heavenly Father,
We come before You in humility and awe, recognizing Your sovereignty over all nations and over our beloved country, America. As we enter these 40 days of prayer, fasting, and repentance, we ask for Your divine guidance and mercy upon our nation. Just as You spared the city of Nineveh when its people repented and turned back to You, we ask for Your grace to fall upon America.
Lord, we acknowledge that we have drifted from the values and principles that once aligned us with Your will. We confess our sins, both individually and collectively, and we ask for Your forgiveness. We pray that You would stir the hearts of Your people across this land, from coast to coast, to seek You earnestly in this critical moment.
Father, we pray for our leaders—guide them with wisdom and discernment. Protect them from the snares of the enemy, and may Your truth and justice prevail. We pray that You would raise up godly leaders who fear Your name and seek to follow Your ways.
We lift up this campaign to You, O God, asking that through these 40 days, a spirit of revival and renewal would sweep across America. Open our eyes to the ways we have turned from You, and lead us back to the path of righteousness. Ignite a hunger for Your Word in every home, and may we, as a people, turn our hearts back to You.
Lord, we pray that during these 40 days, Your Spirit would move powerfully, breaking down the strongholds of division, corruption, and deceit that have infiltrated our nation. Help us to stand firm in faith, to speak truth in love, and to be a light in this dark world.
We thank You, Father, for the promise that if we humble ourselves, seek Your face, and turn from our wicked ways, You will hear from heaven, forgive our sins, and heal our land.
We trust in Your faithfulness and believe in the promise of Your redemption. Let this be the moment where America turns back to You.
In the mighty and precious name of Jesus Christ, we pray.
Amen.
