OUTLINE: This edition is basically in four parts. The first concerns the elections for the European Parliament where there was an unexpected swing to the right. This has the potential to change the policies of the EU on some crucial issues such as migration, climate change and European security matters. The second concerns two international conferences and other items in which the actions of Russia were considered and the various responses. Third, some important Middle East matters have been in the news and are presented here. Fourth, we have the privilege of two Messianic believers from Israel presenting the outlook from the center of the action in the Holy Land – one as a podcast, the other as an analysis of events that has caused worldwide antisemitism to erupt.
Part 1: Shifts in European Politics: The Unexpected Rightward Swing
1. European Elections: On June 9th, 2024, elections were held in 27 countries to elect members for the 720 seats in the European Parliament. The results were a surprise; there was an unexpected swing to the right, although the center-left parties remained strong. An overall summary from one political analyst stated that: “Europe’s national conservative and far-right forces made big gains, ending up with just under a quarter of MEPs [Members of the European Parliament] in the 720-seat assembly – their highest tally ever. But they did not do uniformly well, and in some places fared worse than forecast.”
The following snippets are presented by way of a summary:
In France, Marine Le Pen’s right-wing National Rally party won a historic 31.5 percent of the EU vote compared to President Macron’s party only winning 15 percent of the vote. This right-wing victory forced Macron into the huge gamble of dissolving the French national parliament and calling for snap elections on 30th June. “France faces the risk of a far-right majority in Parliament,” said one commentator.
In Germany, despite a number of scandals, including Nazi whitewashing, Alternative für Deutschland (AfD) became the second largest party when it garnered a higher percentage of the national vote (16 percent) than any of the three parties, including Chancellor Olaf Scholz’s Social Democrats, that make up the beleaguered coalition. These results weaken the German government even further. One analyst noted that the AfD is a party so extreme that even Le Pen decided she did not want to be in the same European parliamentary group with it.
In Italy: The party, Brothers of Italy, led by the Italian prime minister, Giorgia Meloni, won in an historic landslide scoring 28 percent.
In Austria, the FPÖ, doubled their seats and became the largest party in the nation on 26 percent.
In Belgium: The Prime Minister resigns after his crushing defeat by the right.
In Spain: My last information was that the right was beating the left by 10 percent. In addition, Yolanda Díaz, Deputy Prime Minister of Spain who recently called for "the establishment of a Palestinian state from the river to the sea", announced, on 10th June, her resignation as head of the extreme left wing "Somar" in the Spanish Parliament, after the poor achievements of her party.
Other Comments: Cas Mudde, an expert in populism and the radical right at the University of Georgia, said that, if anything, judging against their current strength at national level across the bloc, the far right was now “underrepresented at the European level.” Mujtaba Rahman, of the Eurasia Group consultancy, said: “Despite their gains, the divisions and dis-organization among the rightwing groups will limit their impact on the EU’s political and policy agenda.” Nicolai von Ondarza, of the German Institute for International Affairs (SWP), said that although the center had held despite the swing to the right, “European politics are going to get more polarising, more politicised and more populist”. Von Ondarza said all of that would most likely leave the Italian Prime Minister, Meloni as the figure to watch – in particular, “how far she and the ECR can get the likely commission president, Ursula von der Leyen, and her EPP to work with them.”
This becomes a key issue noted by Rahman and others. They point out that on specific matters where far-right policy positions had traction (and might align with center-right EPP objectives), “tactical right-of-center alliances” could dilute or even derail EU initiatives on migration, the green transition and climate legislation. Another commentator who can foresee the EU heading for trouble in this direction said: “they will continue to pull the EU to the right from inside, with an even harder line against immigration, determined opposition to the green measures urgently needed to address the climate crisis, reduced support for Ukraine and – nationalist as they all are – clawing back national control from [the EU parliament in] Brussels.”
A prominent globalist gives us an interesting final comment: “All of this is before we get to the most important election for Europe this year, which doesn’t happen in Europe. A victory for Donald Trump in November’s US presidential election would weaken and probably further divide Europe, as hard-right populist nationalists, quite possibly including Meloni, would line up as the European party of Trump. Will Europe wake up before it is too late?”
Beacon Comments: From the above results and comments, it appears that the swing to the right in the European Parliament representation will possibly allow changes to occur in four EU policy initiatives.
First: A harder line against immigration. This problem comes from the massive numbers of immigrants coming into Europe through various routes from the Middle East and North Africa. This has changed the demographic distribution markedly in a significant number of European cities to such an extent that these immigrants make up a higher percentage than the native population. The result is that many Muslims are in key positions in European and UK cities and control policy making and frequently encourage anti-Semitism, which is contrary to Scripture and may subject those following that practice to God’s curse (Genesis 12:3). In the Quran, migration was a recommended practice to avoid problems and difficult situations, and as an opportunity to spread Islam to other locations. It originated with the migration of Muhammad and his followers from Mecca to Medina in 622 AD which was the starting date of the Muslim calendar. This gave rise to statements such as this in the Quran: “Was not the earth of Allah wide spacious enough for you to emigrate therein?” (4:97). And warns to those who did not migrate, “for such as these, their destination is Hell, and a woeful destination it is.” (4:97). The conclusion is that a harder line against immigration may well be desirable biblically.
Second: There is the “Climate Crisis.” There is a full discussion about this problem and its serious Biblical significance in the Beacon article for 15th August, 2023 found here.
Third: “Clawing back national control from Brussels.” Biblically this might not be a bad thing as the globalism which is being legislated for in the EU is preparing the way for the Antichrist to rise to power and control the earth as in Revelation 13. If this occurs, it may delay the implementation of Globalism plans.
Fourth: The Ukraine crisis and Russian threats to many states in Europe, all play into the prelude of Ezekiel 38 and should be watched carefully. Further details can be found in the Beacon article for 4th June 2024 here.
EU Elections Follow-Through:
June 14th: France's left-wing political parties say they have united to form a "New Popular Front" to go head to head with the far right in the snap parliamentary elections at the end of this month. The left-wing alliance comprises the Socialists who have agreed to join forces with the Greens, Communists and France Unbowed, (the far-left party of Jean-Luc Mélenchon who has been a problematical leader). President Emmanuel Macron called the two-round vote after the anti-immigration National Rally (RN) of Marine Le Pen and Jordan Bardella won a resounding victory in European elections last Sunday.
The latest opinion poll (on the Le Point website) puts RN on 29.5% of the vote in the first round on 30 June and the left-wing alliance on 28.5%, squeezing Mr Macron's Renew into third with 18%. That has prompted each to claim it will form a "block" to prevent the others winning power in the National Assembly. The poll indicated RN could win 195-245 seats in the 577-seat National Assembly, with the New Popular Front on 190-235. United Kingdom General Election, 4th July 2024. It will determine the composition of the House of Commons, which determines the Government of the United Kingdom. Significant constituency boundary changes have been made, the first such changes since before the 2010 general election. In addition, it is the first election where voter identification is required. The governing Conservative Party led by the UK Prime Minister Rishi Sunak has polled poorly in a number of Local Elections in 2022 and 2023. As a result, there is talk of a possible change in government, as the left wing opposition Labour Party led by Keir Starmer has been showing some popularity. However, on 3rd June 2024 Nigel Farage resumed leadership of the Reform UK Party, a right-wing populist party who had pushed for UK independence from the EU and Brexit. Since then, opinion pollsters and analysts have noted an increase in interest with the party. This development may hold the key to who wins this race.

Part 2: Global Diplomacy: Assessing Russia's Actions and Responses
2a. The 50th G7 Conference and Russia: On June 13th to 15th this Conference was held in Apulia, Italy. It is the first major International Conference hosted by the Italian Prime Minister, Giorgia Meloni since she took office in October 2022. The G7 (Group of Seven) is an organization of the world's seven largest so-called "advanced" economies, which dominate global trade and the international financial system. They are Canada, France, Germany, Italy, Japan, the UK and the United States. The wars in Gaza and Ukraine will be the focus and leaders from Africa and the Indo-Pacific region will discuss economic co-operation with developing countries.
The first item of news was that the G7 agreed to a $50bn deal to fund Ukraine, according to Italian Prime Minister Giorgia Meloni. About $350bn in Russia's foreign currency reserves have been frozen. The interest from those frozen reserves is supplying the loan by the end of the year. Both Meloni and France’s President Macron have confirmed to Reuters that the deal will go ahead. The BBC noted that under international law this transfer of funds was illegal. In a press briefing, the Russian Foreign Ministry spokesperson, Maria Zakharova said: “There are enough European assets and funds in Russia. Our measures in response, which are inevitable, will be extremely painful for Brussels. They will have to pay for their madness from their own wallet.” In May, Russia’s President Putin had signed a decree permitting Russia to confiscate the assets of American companies and individuals as compensation for any Russian assets confiscated in the USA.
The second item from the G7 Conference was that US President Joe Biden and Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky have signed a 10-year Bilateral Security Agreement at the summit in Italy. The historic agreement will (a) expand intelligence sharing, (b) continue to train Ukrainian troops, but without the US instructors participating in actual warfare. Then (c), invest in Ukraine's industrial base and defense industries so they will be able to manufacture their own munitions. This will increase the jobs available to the workforce. The deal also includes “squadrons” (plural) of F-16 fighter jets. As part of the Bilateral Security Agreement, President Biden also announced new sanctions on Russia. Any bank in the world dealing with Russia will now be sanctioned. He pointed out that Putin depends on revenue from Energy projects, and the new sanctions are designed to disrupt that process. Finally, Biden pointed out to Zelensky that this Agreement “is the gateway to NATO.”
June 14th: Russian Response - on Friday, Russian President, Vladimir Putin called on the Ukrainian government to withdraw from four regions partially occupied by Russia - Donetsk, Luhansk, Kherson and Zaporizhzhia. Before a cease-fire could begin. He also said Ukraine would need to officially give up in its efforts to join the NATO military alliance for the Russian advance to be halted. Ukraine’s President, Volodymyr Zelensky, called this a Hitler-like “ultimatum.” He has frequently stated that Ukraine will not negotiate with Moscow until Russian forces leave all Ukrainian territory, including Crimea. Later on Friday, President Zelensky told Italy's Sky TG24 television: "These messages are ultimatum messages. It's the same thing Hitler did, when he said 'give me a part of Czechoslovakia and it'll end here'." June 14th: Ukraine Peace Summit Switzerland – Mr. Putin's statement setting out his ceasefire conditions comes as leaders from 90 countries prepare to meet in a resort above Lake Lucerne in Switzerland on Saturday. They are coming to discuss basic principles for ending the conflict and finding paths towards peace in Ukraine.
The Swiss hope that the Ukraine summit might produce the first tentative sketch for such a peace process, some 28 months after Russia invaded its neighbor.

June 15th: Initial comments reflect the position of a number of delegates who stated that Russia should have been invited to attend as a negotiator in the conference. However, President Zelensky of the Ukraine said his purpose was to obtain agreement among friendly nations as to how to proceed and then invite Russia to a 2nd conference where these agreed principles were discussed along with alternatives between the two main parties and their negotiating partners. Others agreed with some key EU leaders in describing the Russian plan as “dictatorial peace.”
It was in this context that Maria Zolkina, director of conflict studies at the Democratic Initiatives Foundation, a nongovernmental group, said the value to Ukraine of the gathering was broader than just a formal effort to shore up support for the three points in Kyiv’s peace plan. The effort is helping promote Ukraine’s vision of a postwar order in Eastern Europe that would prevent future Russian expansionism, she said, adding that Ukraine wanted to muster support for talks on its terms, “not to start from Chinese, Russian or someone else’s proposals.”
A draft declaration issued at the summit reaffirms Ukraine's territorial integrity and unambiguously rejects any nuclear threat against the country. The document, due to be formally adopted on Sunday, also states that the safe transit of commercial shipping in the Black and Azov Seas is vital for global food security.

June 11th: In an unexpected development, 4 Russian warships and submarine, all nuclear capable, and their support ships have sailed into the Atlantic and are currently being monitored by American and Canadian ships near Key Largo, Florida. The Russian ships were on their way to both Cuba and Venezuela to support those regimes.
June 16th: The Russians seem to be establishing a naval base in Tobruk, Libya just as they did much earlier in Tartus, Syria. In addition, for the first time since 1970, the Russian navy and the Egyptian navy are conducting joint exercises close to the Suez Canal. In view of Mr. Putin’s current mood, this may be construed as a show of strength to southern Europe. (MEI).
June 10th: In Iran, six candidates chosen to stand in the Presidential elections in two weeks. The choice of candidates was overseen by Supreme leader Khamanei. Former President Ahmadinajad has again been banned.
June 10th: Iran transferred 50 loitering munitions, air defense systems and anti-radar missiles to the Kurdistan Workers' Party, the PKK, say Turkish media sources. Loitering ammunition and conventional ammunition were delivered to Sulaymaniyah airport by a civilian aircraft, and then were transferred by the PKK through the Patriotic Union of Kurdistan (PUK). June 13th: Reuters reported that Iran has informed the International Atomic Energy Agency that it has installed additional centrifuges at the underground nuclear facilities in Natanz and Fordow. Reports from Israel suggest Iran is only weeks away from nuclear weapons.
*NOTE: Turkey may not come with Russia and Iran against Israel as many have taught. Here are four key points that may be explained more fully and expanded another time.
(1) The most ancient translation of the Old Testament from the original Paleo-Hebrew in 282 BC (that is almost 400 years before the text of current versions originated around 100 AD), for Ezekiel 38:13 does NOT read “the merchants of Tarshish” but rather “the merchants of Chalcedon and their villages.” Chalcedon is today called Istanbul, and is the major trading city in Turkey. So, if Istanbul criticizes the Russians and Iranians for coming against Israel, this means that Turkey is NOT coming with them.
(2) The Item from 10th June above shows that Iran is helping the Kurds fight against Turkey. This will not go down well with the Turks – and they have other problems with Iran.
(3) Turkey has a mutual Defense Partnership with Ukraine and has been hosting peace conferences to help Ukraine against Russia. This means that Turkey is less likely to come with Russia against Israel.
(4) Turkey is a member of NATO whose aim is to curtail Russian moves in the region. This suggests that the Turks may not follow the Russians into this Ezekiel 38 adventure.

Part 3: Focus on the Middle East: Key Developments and Implications
3. Middle-East Matters:
(a) The Hostages:
June 10th: Report in the US: The Biden administration is discussing the possibility of negotiating a unilateral deal with Hamas for the release of the 5 American hostages.
June 10th: The UN Security Council has approved the Biden Initiative for a ceasefire and release of the abductees in Gaza by 14 in favor and Russia’s abstention. The US commented that it is now up to Hamas to prove they want peace.
June 11th: Israeli official “They have rejected the Biden Plan” Hamas has reworded the US Initiative to demand a different timeline and full Israeli withdrawal and total end to the war. https://www.israelnationalnews.com/news/391458

June 12th: Biden UN Initiative: The US envoy Mr. Blinken seemed exasperated as he told a joint news conference that they had been discussing the changes requested by Hamas to the US-backed ceasefire proposal.
"A deal was on the table that was virtually identical to a proposal that Hamas put forward on 6 May - a deal that the entire world is behind, that Israel has accepted, and Hamas could have answered with a single word: 'yes'," he said.
"Instead, Hamas waited nearly two weeks and then proposed more changes, a number of which go beyond positions that it had previously taken and accepted. As a result, the war that Hamas started… will go on, more people will suffer, Palestinians will suffer, more Israelis will suffer." Mr. Blinken also said it was crucial to develop plans for the “day after the conflict” in Gaza as soon as possible in order to achieve an enduring end to the war.

Comment: According to the prophetic scriptures, the end result in Gaza may not be what the US and the globalists are hoping for. See for example these passages which relate directly to current conditions: Zechariah 9:1-5 and Obadiah 17 – 21. In each case these passages end with the Lord coming for the Millennium (Zechariah 9:14-15 and Obadiah 21).
June 14th: A senior Hamas official living in Beirut (with full Qatari funding), Osama Hamdan: "Neither we, nor anyone, has any idea how many hostages are alive." Comment: This means that he is admitting that Hamas has been entirely deceitful in their negotiations on this issue.
(b) The G7 Summit Joint Communique:
The final communique from the G7 leading industrialized nations’ three-day summit in Italy said that UNRWA, the United Nations aid agency for Palestinian refugees, must be allowed to work unhindered in war-torn Gaza. They also warned Israel on Friday to stop any “actions that weaken the Palestinian Authority,” including “withholding tax funds.” The G7 statement also reiterated the group’s concern at the “unacceptable number of civilian casualties” in the Hamas-Israel war, now in its ninth month. The G7 leaders called on Israel to refrain from a major offensive in the Strip’s southernmost city of Rafah, citing “further dire consequences for civilians.” Israel has claimed such an operation is essential to dismantle Hamas. Concern was also expressed about the ongoing fighting between Israel and Iranian proxy Hezbollah along the border with Lebanon. The G7 leaders called on “all involved actors to exercise restraint to avoid further escalation.”
(c) Israel, Lebanon, the Hezbollah:
June 12th: Massive barrage of over 250 rockets into Galilee and Tiberias and Golan from Hezbollah sites in Lebanon all in 24 hours. Families had to go into bunkers. https://www.jpost.com/breaking-news/article-805937
June 12th: An official in the Quds Force of the Iranian Revolutionary Guard told Foreign Policy magazine: “Hezbollah possesses more than one million missiles of various types, including highly accurate missiles, Katyusha missiles with improved range and accuracy, anti-armor missiles.” From one observer: “This is 5 times more than what western countries were sure they have.”
June 14th: The Lebanese journalist Hasan Illaik writes in the Lebanese newspaper Al-Akhbar: The Taliban movement has informed Iran that it wants to fight Israel and that it is ready to send thousands of fighters when there is an opportunity to do so. Iran is ready to flood southern Lebanon and southern Syria with waves of human fighters from Pakistan and Afghanistan to Iraq and Yemen in any upcoming war with Israel.
June 15th: Officials in the Biden administration told CBS News that they interpret Israel's recent attacks deep in Lebanon as preparation for a massive and widespread attack by the IDF in the region. An official said that the administration had been working toward lowering the risk that US troops face in Syria, Iraq, and Jordan. Additionally, diplomatic advisor Amos Hochstein is heading to Israel on Monday with the reported purpose of trying to de-escalate tensions before they spread throughout the region. The US administration worries that if a war starts between Israel and Lebanon, Israel may require US support to win.

Comment: When this does actually occur, it is likely that the prophecy in Isaiah 17 and Zechariah 9 will be fulfilled with the wipe-out of Damascus, the capital city in Syria. The Hezbollah from Lebanon and other Iranian proxies are stationed in Syria ready for a multi-front war against Israel whose basic outline was conceived some years ago. The reports suggest that Iran has been refining and coordinating the implementation of that plan along with its timing to fit in with its own schedule. So it seems that Israel will be facing a multi-front war in the very near future.

Why Do Some People Say Hamas Is Winning?
“I (Kerry) have often wondered, since October 7, 2023, how Hamas thought their heinous invasion of Israel was going to play out and what they expected to accomplish…. I now believe it was their leaders' goal to turn the world against Israel and the Jewish people in a very clever way. As you will read below, Hamas has successfully married progressive ideologies that it opposes, with anti-Semitism and anti-Israelism that it embraces, creating a new generation of anti-Semites.
Anti-Semitism and anti-Israelism are not new. We all know that. However, it was shocking to realize that the greatest zeal for Hamas was found in the West. The enthusiastic response that greeted the Hamas invaders and their massacre of Israelis was greatest in what we refer to as the free world – the US, Europe, Australia – and in the most esteemed institutions of higher education. It did not take long for college campuses to be overrun with pro-Hamas, anti-Israel, and anti-Semitic rhetoric and violence….
The volcano of anti-Semitism that has been lying dormant ever since the Holocaust in the West has now erupted, spewing its lava throughout the world. Though not exclusively the purview of Muslims, clearly the large amount of Islamic immigration to Europe and the West has served as a detonator for this explosion. This triumph of brazenly pro-Islamic rhetoric in the West is not being done in hiding, but while openly declaring their aspirations to kill all the Jews – from the river to the sea. "Death to Israel, Death to America" are being chanted on college campuses and international capitals throughout the world without fear….
Even though progressive leftist groups surely can not agree with jihadist principles, sharia law, and Islamic theology that would remove female rights and kill homosexuals, they do agree on the abundant hatred of the US, the West, and the religious Judeo-Christian foundation that fuels their anarchist viewpoints. This is what seems to be a bizarre alliance, but I submit it is an alliance whose first goal is to single out the Jews. Why? Because God chose Israel as His first-born and loves her as a special treasure above all the peoples of the earth. (Deut. 7: 6) Since God chose and loves the Jews, there is no better way to oppose God than to hate what He loves. Since Jesus will return to Jewish Jerusalem, anti-Semitism and anti-Israelism are Satan’s best plan to insure opposition to God's plan for world redemption….
We also see it internationally on a much bigger scale. When the International Criminal Court (ICC) issues arrest warrants for Israeli leaders for defending the nation, it is paving the way for being able to do this against other countries. When the International Court of Justice (ICJ) insists that Israel cannot continue to protect itself against attacks from other nations, it is actually paving the way for her destruction. If the ICC and the ICJ get away with this with Israel, what will be the next nation not allowed to defend itself from invasion: Estonia, Latvia, Ukraine or Taiwan? … Historically, we see that what begins with the Jews typically doesn’t end with the Jews. Once they have been successfully targeted, bigger and better targets will follow. What about pro-life groups in the US or those that stand against homosexuality? What about Evangelical Christians? …
So why are the progressive movements standing arm and arm with pro-Hamas protesters so supportive of Islamic and jihadist rhetoric? Consider, for example, the diversity, equity, and inclusion movements (DEI). There is a belief that people are divided into the fundamentally privileged and the fundamentally dispossessed, and the privileged are fundamentally evil. For example, white people are said to be privileged, therefore white people are said to be evil. DEI is being taught by the educators in the US as immutable fact. …
From the logic of DEI, it is not a far leap to think Jewish people are immutably bad, Israel was born in sin and therefore has no right to exist. Since October 7, especially when looking at college campuses, we see how many people ascribe to this view. In order to protest the Jewish state, they are naively willing to march next to people that would happily see them dead in other circumstances. One example is the near universal support for Hamas by the LGBTQ community, who themselves would likely be killed by the very Islamic regime they are supporting. This is quite an achievement on the part of Hamas! They have accomplished their goals well. They have successfully linked their own ideologies with sympathetic, confused, and anti-God anarchists…
As a result of the above, Israel is isolated as never before. Its leaders are war criminals in the eyes of the world. It finds itself on the UN list of offenders that harm children. It is even being condemned for rescuing hostages from Gaza. Jews throughout the world fear for what their future holds. … I pray not just for Israel. I also pray that the US and the world will recognize that because of extreme ideologies, whatever happens to Israel and the Jews might eventually happen to them. May they recognize that they have invited these fundamental changes in their society through policies that seek to remove any and all moral absolutes and abandon the principles of God….
When Israeli PM Netanyahu spoke on the eve of Israeli Independence Day recently, after President Biden had cut off the large scale munitions that will be needed to further insure Israel’s security, he said “Israel will stand alone if it has to, but it will stand.” He was speaking as a political leader attempting to encourage his nation. In truth, Israel will never stand alone, because He who keeps Israel neither slumbers nor sleeps. (Psalm 121:4) His plans for the return of His Son to His Kingdom on earth will not be thwarted, regardless of the plans of the enemy.
Please join me in praying that God will be glorified through the nation He has chosen as His inheritance and in the place He will again establish holy throne. Pray that your nation will not succumb to the progressive ideologies of today but will return to the Judeo-Christian values upon which it was founded, for all of our sakes.

About Barry John Setterfield
Barry John Setterfield was born 15th April, 1942 in Northam, Western Australia, to Salvation Army parents. His high school results earned him a full Commonwealth Scholarship for university where he majored in physics and geology and minored in mathematics and chemistry. Because of a family crisis in 1964 and an acute attack of a genetic disease, Barry had to quit university and so has no formal degree. On March 8th 1964 he accepted Christ as his Savior. Early in 1965 he was asked by the Astronomical Society of South Australia (ASSA) to prepare for publication the research of the recently deceased Government Astronomer for South Australia, George Dodwell. From 1966 to 1971 he lectured in Astronomy for the ASSA, as well as presenting astronomy to schools, colleges and scout groups. In August 1987 he co-authored a Report for Stanford Research Institute (SRI) International on the changing values of the constants of physics, including the speed of light. This led to his ongoing research into the effects on these constants caused by the expansion of the universe.
During this time, he was invited to speak on a variety of biblical topics at churches and Bible colleges in Australia. In October of 2000 he married Helen (Penny) Fryman, and they presented internationally on both bible topics and the implications of Barry’s scientific research. Barry & Penny settled in Grants Pass, Oregon, where Barry was appointed Director of the New Hope Observatory and taught astronomy at both a Christian school there as well as presenting by invitation at a secular college. He and Penny have regular Bible studies at their home as well as a monthly pastors meeting where the Bible and current events are discussed and the notes emailed internationally. In the last quarter of 2023, a secular science journal requested him to write several articles giving possible explanations for the images from the James Webb Space Telescope that are causing a major re-think in astronomy, cosmology and associated fields.

Dear Heavenly Father,
We come before You with gratitude, seeking Your blessings on Barry's Beacon and its mission to shine Your light on the events shaping our world. We thank You for the opportunity to share this story through Revelation Watchers, and we ask for Your guidance and wisdom throughout this process.
Lord, we lift up the content of this edition. As it covers the recent elections in the European Parliament and the potential shifts in policies on migration, climate change, and European security, we pray that Your truth and justice will prevail in these crucial areas. May the leaders involved seek Your wisdom and be guided by Your principles of righteousness and peace.
We also bring before You the international conferences and discussions regarding Russia's actions. Grant the leaders and participants discernment and a commitment to peaceful resolutions. May their responses promote stability, understanding, and cooperation among nations, reflecting Your heart for unity and reconciliation.
For the important matters in the Middle East presented in this edition, we ask for Your protection and peace over the region. Bless the leaders and citizens with wisdom and compassion. Let Your presence be felt by those who are suffering, and bring about solutions that honor Your name.
