"I'm Sticking with Jesus": Joe Rogan, the Big Bang, and the Unfolding Great Awakening
In a world awash in chaos, where faith is ridiculed and truth often mocked, it’s moments like these that catch you off guard—and perhaps remind you that the Holy Spirit is moving even in the most unexpected places.
Recently, I came across a clip from The Joe Rogan Experience—one of the most listened-to podcasts in the world—where Joe Rogan, known for his raw realism and no-nonsense approach, made a startling declaration:
“It’s funny, because people will be incredulous about the resurrection of Jesus Christ, but yet they’re convinced that the entire universe was smaller than a head of a pin… and for no reason that anyone has adequately explained to me, instantaneously became everything? I’m sticking with Jesus on that one. Jesus makes more sense. People have come back to life.”
The video is from Episode #2317 of The Joe Rogan Experience, where Joe Rogan says, "I'm sticking with Jesus on that one," around the 1:39:02 mark during a conversation with guest Cody Tucker. The moment quickly went viral, drawing coverage from News.com.au, The Christian Post, and Faithwire.
Here’s a fuller portion of the conversation—from approximately 1:37:24 to 1:39:06—that adds even more weight to Rogan’s statement.
Joe Rogan:
And then there's the concept that it's actually finite — it's not infinite — and it's some sort of donut shape, like it eventually goes back around.
But then… who made all that? Like, is there a God? Did God make this? Or is God the universe?
But then — who made God? And then that bothers me, right? Because who made that thing?
Is that a thing that we think — because we were born and we die — that we have these biological limitations that we attach to the universe itself?
Cody Tucker:
Yeah, that's fair.
Joe Rogan:
We see things as being built and destroyed. That there's always been something.
Wouldn't it be crazy if there wasn’t something at one point in time? That seems even crazier than there always has been something. Because if it’s just something — if it’s just the nature of everything — there is always something, right? It couldn’t be nothing, and then all of a sudden everything.
Because what started that? What kicked that off? What snapped its fingers?
That’s McKenna’s great line. Terence McKenna had a great line about the difference between science and religion — that science only asks you for one miracle.
It wants you to believe in one miracle: the Big Bang.
Cody Tucker:
Yeah, yeah. That’s a good one.
Joe Rogan:
It’s a great line. Because it really is true.
And it’s funny — people would be incredulous about the resurrection of Jesus Christ, but yet they’re convinced that the entire universe was smaller than the head of a pin — and for no reason that anybody’s adequately explained to me — it instantaneously became everything.
Okay… I can’t buy that.
I’m sticking with Jesus on that one.
Jesus makes more sense.
As I listened to Rogan say those words, I couldn’t help but pause. Is this what a spark of revival looks like in the mainstream? Is this how the Lord begins to shift the atmosphere—one seed at a time?
A Prophetic Parallel
Scripture tells us in the last days:
“I will pour out My Spirit on all people. Your sons and daughters will prophesy, your old men will dream dreams, your young men will see visions.” — Joel 2:28
This is the age of divine disruption. Joe Rogan may not see himself as a preacher or prophet, but like Cyrus of old (Isaiah 45), God often uses unexpected voices to prepare the way for something greater. The fact that a secular icon is now leaning into the resurrection narrative—while questioning the "miracle" of the Big Bang—should not be dismissed.
As the Apostle Paul wrote:
“Has not God made foolish the wisdom of the world?” — 1 Corinthians 1:20
Revelation 911
Is this the final chapter of history?
In Revelation 911, Pastor Paul Begley and six-time #1 bestselling author Troy Anderson reveal jaw-dropping links between today’s global chaos and ancient end-time prophecies. From pandemics to political unrest, this powerful book decodes the signs and prepares believers for what’s coming next.
The Great Shaking, the Great Turning
We are watching the world shake—nations in uproar, truth under assault, and prophetic signs flashing like neon on the global stage. As Jesus foretold:
“There will be signs in the sun, moon and stars. On the earth, nations will be in anguish and perplexity…”— Luke 21:25
Joe Rogan’s words may symbolize more than a cultural curiosity—they may represent a prophetic shift.
This is the great awakening before the Great Tribulation.
This is the great harvest in the middle of the great shaking.
Why This Moment Matters
“The harvest is plentiful, but the workers are few.” — Matthew 9:37
God is stirring the hearts of influencers, thinkers, and podcasters—those with a megaphone to the masses. He’s allowing people like Rogan to wrestle with truth out loud so others may begin to see the cracks in the secular narrative and search for answers beyond reason.
Even in the darkest corners of media, light is beginning to pierce through.
“For nothing is hidden that will not be revealed.” — Luke 8:17
A Final Reflection
Dear friends, we are living in prophetic times. The Bible is not just a book of the past—it is a mirror to the present and a roadmap for the future. What we are witnessing isn’t coincidence—it’s providence. It’s the quiet roar of a coming revival.
My prayer is that moments like this—unexpected utterances of truth from mainstream voices—remind us that no one is too far from God’s reach. That the Holy Spirit can move through anyone, anywhere.
As we approach the return of Christ, may we be bold, discerning, and prayerful.
“Therefore keep watch, because you do not know the day or the hour.” — Matthew 25:13
