From Jerusalem to Washington: Antichrist Warnings and America's Political Crossroads
On the eve of America’s November 3 midterm elections, a remarkable series of warnings about the Antichrist, biblical prophecy, and the future of American democracy is drawing attention to the spiritual and political uncertainties confronting the world. From Jerusalem’s Temple Mount to Washington’s corridors of power, religious leaders, government officials, and influential public figures are raising questions about deception, global authority, and the direction of human civilization.
Standing near the Dome of the Rock, Pastor Paul Begley delivered a dramatic warning about the coming Antichrist while pointing toward what he described as the devil’s face appearing on the historic Islamic shrine. Meanwhile, billionaire entrepreneur Elon Musk warned that a future Democratic political sweep could transform America into a permanent one-party state, concerns echoed by President Donald Trump in a November 1 interview with the New York Post in which he said if Democrats sweep the elections on Tuesday, the country will be “maybe forever destroyed.”
These developments follow striking remarks from Vice President JD Vance and evangelist Franklin Graham about the Antichrist, artificial intelligence, and a future system of global control. Together, their statements raise questions explored in Pastor Begley and I’s #1 bestseller, Trump vs. the Beast: The Ten Kings Prophecy and the Bible’s Revelation of Coming Final Days (Humanix Books/Newsmax Media, October 6, 2026). Could today’s geopolitical tensions, technological revolution, and growing concerns about centralized power be creating conditions resembling those described in the Book of Revelation?

Pastor Begley on the Temple Mount: A Warning About the Coming Antichrist
During a livestream from Jerusalem, Pastor Paul Begley, my co-founder of Revelation Watchers, stood near the Dome of the Rock and discussed his belief that a future Third Temple will play a central role in end-times prophecy. Pointing toward an area where he believes the temple could eventually be constructed, Begley warned that Jerusalem would become the setting for a profound spiritual confrontation involving the Antichrist.
“"The man of sin - the Antichrist - he is coming to this city to take a hostile takeover of the Third Temple,” Begley said. “But isn't it interesting that organically - this was not painted - the face of the devil formed on the Dome of the Rock."
He then directed viewers toward an unusual pattern on the Dome of the Rock that he interpreted as resembling the devil’s face, emphasizing that he believed the image had formed naturally rather than being painted. Although the appearance is Begley’s interpretation rather than a verified supernatural manifestation, his remarks underscore the significance of the Temple Mount in his understanding of biblical prophecy.
Begley also described witnessing a white horse galloping near the Garden of Gethsemane toward Jerusalem’s Eastern Gate, with its rider struggling to control it. The encounter reminded him of the mysterious rider on the white horse in Revelation 6:1–2, which some futurist interpreters associate with conquest or deception. While neither observation establishes prophetic fulfillment, Begley believes such experiences offer opportunities to reflect on the biblical warnings concerning the last days.

Jerusalem, the Third Temple, and the Prophecy of the Man of Sin
Jerusalem occupies a central place in biblical prophecy, particularly in passages concerning the final confrontation between the forces of good and evil. In 2 Thessalonians 2:3–4, the Apostle Paul describes the man of sin, who exalts himself above God and takes his seat in the temple of God. Daniel 9:27 and Matthew 24:15 also describe events associated with the abomination of desolation, which many futurist interpreters understand as pointing toward a future Antichrist who will desecrate a rebuilt Jewish temple.
The Temple Mount currently contains the Dome of the Rock and Al-Aqsa Mosque, two of Islam’s holiest sites. No Third Temple has been constructed, and the location remains among the world’s most sensitive religious and geopolitical flashpoints. Although Christians hold differing interpretations of these prophecies, the continuing significance of Jerusalem reminds believers of the importance the Bible places upon the city and its future.
For prophecy watchers, the central question is not whether an unusual image has appeared on a historic building, but whether humanity is approaching conditions that could contribute to the events described in Daniel, Matthew, and Revelation. Begley’s warning invites believers to examine the Bible carefully.
JD Vance and Franklin Graham Raise Concerns About the Antichrist
Begley’s remarks follow extraordinary public discussions about biblical prophecy by Vice President JD Vance and evangelist Franklin Graham. During an interview with Christian podcaster Bryce Crawford, Vance acknowledged his fascination with end-times prophecy and suggested that the Antichrist could already be living among humanity. He also expressed concern about artificial intelligence, particularly technologies capable of replacing meaningful human relationships or encouraging unhealthy dependence. Although Vance cautioned against becoming consumed by prophetic predictions, his remarks reflected a growing public conversation about technology, spirituality, and humanity’s future.
Evangelist Franklin Graham raised related concerns during an October discussion with Sean Hannity, warning about the Antichrist, a future one-world system, and the economic restrictions described in Revelation 13. Graham discussed how technological advances could eventually enable unprecedented forms of surveillance and financial control, echoing the biblical description of a system in which buying and selling are restricted according to allegiance to the beast.
Revelation 13:16–17 describes these restrictions, prompting questions about how such a system might function in an increasingly digital society. Although artificial intelligence, biometric identification, and digital currencies are not themselves proof of prophetic fulfillment, their development raises questions about future applications of centralized power. Graham ultimately emphasized that humanity’s greatest hope rests not in governments or technology, but in salvation through Jesus Christ.

Elon Musk and President Trump Warn About America’s Political Future
As religious leaders discuss spiritual deception and the possibility of future global control, Elon Musk has issued a separate warning about America’s democratic institutions. Ahead of the November 3 midterms, Musk argued that a Democratic sweep of Washington in 2028 could produce lasting political changes, potentially creating what he described as a permanent one-party state. His concerns included proposals involving statehood for Washington, D.C., and Puerto Rico, expansion of the numbers of Supreme Court justices, and policies he believes could reshape America’s political balance.
President Donald Trump echoed Musk’s concerns during a November 1 interview with the New York Post, warning that Democratic control of Congress could threaten his administration’s agenda and lead to far-reaching political changes. Trump also discussed how he might continue governing through presidential vetoes and negotiations if Democrats gain congressional control.
Although these political disputes should not be confused with specific biblical prophecies, they raise broader questions about the concentration of power, institutional stability, and the future of freedom. The Bible warns that a final system of extraordinary authority will emerge under the beast, but it does not identify either contemporary American political party as that system. For Christians, the appropriate response is to remain informed, exercise discernment, and pray for leaders regardless of political affiliation.
Trump vs. the Beast: Could the Conditions for a New World Order Be Emerging?
These developments connect with themes examined in our new book, Trump vs. the Beast: The Ten Kings Prophecy and the Bible’s Revelation of Coming Final Days, the #1 “Best Seller” in “Prophecies” on Amazon. The book investigates Daniel’s prophecy of ten kings, the emergence of the Antichrist, the the lifting of the restrainer described in 2 Thessalonians, and the possibility that future political, technological, and financial developments could contribute to an unprecedented system of global control under the Antichrist and False Prophet.
Daniel 7 describes ten horns associated with a powerful fourth kingdom, while Revelation 17:12–13 describes ten kings who receive authority and ultimately surrender their power to the beast. Revelation 13 portrays a system combining political authority, spiritual deception, and economic restrictions, requiring people to take the “mark of the beast” in order to “buy and sell” or face execution.
These passages raise questions about whether future international crises could accelerate powerful geopolitical alliances, whether emerging technologies might enable unprecedented economic control, and whether developments surrounding Jerusalem could eventually intersect with the prophetic scenarios.
Our investigation explores these possibilities while emphasizing the importance of biblical discernment. The ultimate struggle described in the Bible transcend partisan politics and concerns the conflict between God’s kingdom and the devil’s forces of darkness.

Jesus Warned: Take Heed That No Man Deceives You
When His disciples asked about the signs of His coming and the end of the age, Jesus began with a warning: “Take heed that no man deceive you” (Matthew 24:4, KJV). He went on to describe false messiahs, wars, international turmoil, persecution, and spiritual deception. The Apostle Paul likewise warned in 2 Thessalonians 2 that the coming of the lawless one would involve powerful deception, making spiritual discernment essential for believers.
Whether considering unusual imagery on the Temple Mount, warnings from political leaders, or the accelerating development of artificial intelligence, Christians are called to examine extraordinary claims carefully, remain grounded in Scripture, and resist fear. Biblical prophecy is not intended to produce panic or endless speculation, but to encourage faithfulness, perseverance, and readiness for Christ’s return.
Regardless of America’s election results or the direction of world events, the Bible’s ultimate message remains unchanged: Jesus Christ will return, evil will be defeated, and God’s kingdom will prevail. “Surely I come quickly. Amen. Even so, come, Lord Jesus” (Revelation 22:20, KJV).
A Prayer for America, Israel, and Spiritual Awakening
Heavenly Father, we come before Your throne in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, asking for Your mercy, wisdom, and protection over America, Israel, and the nations of the world. As Americans prepare for the midterm elections, we pray for righteous leadership, truth, justice, and peace. Protect our nation from deception, division, violence, and corruption, and guide our leaders according to Your will.
Lord, we pray for the peace of Jerusalem and the protection of innocent people throughout Israel and the Middle East. Awaken Your Church, strengthen believers with spiritual discernment, and give us courage to proclaim Your Word with truth and compassion. Let a mighty spiritual awakening sweep across America and the nations, bringing countless souls to repentance, salvation, and renewed faith in Jesus Christ.
Above all, help us remain watchful, faithful, and prepared for the glorious return of our Lord and Savior. In Jesus’ mighty name, Amen.
I’ve Been to Heaven | A Remarkable Journey of Faith, Heaven, and Eternal Hope
What happens when our earthly journey comes to an end? In I’ve Been to Heaven, Steve Boyls and bestselling author Troy Anderson explore an extraordinary personal account of heaven, faith, and the hope of eternal life. As Dickens’s A Tale of Two Cities reminds us of the power of sacrifice and redemption, this inspiring book invites readers to reflect on the promises of Jesus Christ and the hope that reaches beyond the grave.
An Invitation to Salvation: Are You Ready to Meet Jesus?
The greatest preparation for the future is not political, financial, or technological—it is spiritual. Jesus declared in John 14:6 that He is the way, the truth, and the life. Romans 10:9 teaches that those who confess Jesus as Lord and believe God raised Him from the dead will be saved. If you have never surrendered your life to Jesus Christ, you can turn to Him today and receive His gift of forgiveness and eternal life.
If you are ready to receive Jesus as your Lord and Savior, you can pray:
Dear Heavenly Father, I come before You as a sinner in need of Your forgiveness and mercy. I believe that Jesus Christ is Your Son, that He died on the cross for my sins, and that You raised Him from the dead. Lord Jesus, I repent of my sins and ask You to forgive me. I surrender my life to You and receive You as my Lord and Savior. Wash me clean, fill me with Your Holy Spirit, and help me follow You all the days of my life. Thank You for Your love, Your grace, and the gift of eternal life. In Jesus’ mighty name, Amen.
If you prayed this prayer sincerely, we encourage you to begin reading the Bible, seek fellowship with a Bible-believing church, and grow in your relationship with Jesus Christ. Salvation is God’s gift of grace through faith in Christ, not something earned by reciting particular words.
