What Truly Remains? The Eternal Things - Part 2 of 3
Hungering and Thirsting for Righteousness
We know that creation is groaning, preparing for the Eternal King, as we confidently await the completion of our blessed hope. How do we conduct ourselves in this confident expectation? With patience, compassion and composure. God is the truth. God is love. God is the eternal flame that burns at the throne. God never fails! His word will not fail, it will not turn back void, but accomplish his will. It will prepare the land; it will refine the heart of man. His words will not pass away and oh how comforting that is as we see that we are living in a dry and thirsty land.
A land that has a famine of the word of God. Can we even see that the world is experiencing a famine of the love of God? After so many years of rebelling against God, rejecting Him and forgetting about Him in this world, humanity is hungry, thirsty and hurting. Also, with the "truther movement, as well meaning as it started off, it became a movement of cold words that hurt. What is truth without love and what is love without truth? See, Jesus moved with compassion and truth. He was very effective because it was with pure intentions of love.
The seeds of truth planted in a fertile ground of loving kindness and compassion, will yield a bountiful harvest. As peacemakers and carriers of the Gospel news, we have an example in Christ. His standard is superior to anything we could ever muster up. (Matthew 24:35, Matthew 5:18 and Isaiah 55:11) Matthew 5:6 “Blessed [joyful, nourished by God’s goodness] are those who hunger and thirst for righteousness [those who actively seek right standing with God], for they will be [completely] satisfied.
Psalms 42:1-2 reminds us,
"As the deer pants [longingly] for the water brooks, so my soul pants [longingly] for You, O God. My soul (my life, my inner self) thirsts for God, for the living God. When will I come and see the face of God?"

The Soul's Deep Thirst for the Living Water
The soul naturally thirsts for the creator, the fountain of life, the river of living waters. Not one of us as believers can have that longing quenched outside of the living waters. The soul longs for eternal water (John 14:13-14) this water is a well-spring of eternal life where we will never thirst again! I hear the Holy Spirit speaking, “Come to the waters so that your soul may live.” (Isaiah 55:1-3)
So many are hungering and thirsting but filling their lives and tummies with things that will not satisfy the eternal soul. Out of the belly flows the living waters! It's time to get back to the basics: food, water, shelter and clothing. Spiritually speaking, Jesus clothes us with garments of salvation and of praise. Jesus is the living waters, Jesus is the manna from heaven, the bread of life. Yes, Jesus in our shelter, fortress and refuge.
These spiritual basics are vital for our strength and being in the vine. It's time to keep it simple, staying in the foundation of our very salvation. This foundation is something that God sustains, it's those eternal things again! An eternal foundation and he is the chief cornerstone of that foundation, hallelujah.
This is the good news of the Gospel. Jesus is so wonderful and so very relevant to our very life. We can already see people suffering and grieving because their physical survival basics are not being met. This will continue through the end times, and we have a remedy, a hope and a help. And his name is Jesus! The spiritual fields are white for harvesting, and the fields are fertile for planting the seeds of truth and love!
Eternal Soul of Man
What a beautiful creator we have that knit, forms, restores and refines! He washes the spots and irons out the wrinkles! Jeremiah 1:5 talks about how Jeremiah was formed in the womb, by God. God tells him he knew him, approved him and chose him as an instrument. God consecrated Jeremiah to himself, for his purposes.
Psalms 139:13-16 says,
13 "For You formed my innermost parts; You knit me [together] in my mother’s womb.
14 I will give thanks and praise to You, for I am fearfully and wonderfully made; Wonderful are Your works, and my soul knows it very well.
15 My frame was not hidden from You, When I was being formed in secret, and intricately and skillfully formed [as if embroidered with many colors] in the depths of the earth.
16 Your eyes have seen my unformed substance; And in Your book were all written the days that were appointed for me, when as yet there was not one of them [even taking shape]."
When we are saved, God begins a spiritual knitting and forming process by his very own hands too. God cares for us as we are born into this world, and he cares for us as we are born into his kingdom. He uses the physical things to teach us the spiritual things.

Reflecting on Our Spiritual State: A Mirror of Truth and Love
We are free to choose this spiritual knitting and forming as we have been given free will concerning our eternal state. It helps us to understand this so we can understand how wickedness runs rampant. This reminds me a little of 1 Corinthians 13:12 when it says we see in the glass dimly. What do we see in that mirror or reflection? Do we see our physical imperfections and blemishes? Do we see our spiritual spots or wrinkles?
- James 1:23
For if anyone only listens to the word without obeying it, he is like a man who looks very carefully at his natural face in a mirror;"
When we are in the word, we are in front of the mirror and we truly see. We see areas of growth, areas of need, areas of improvement and areas of need for fasting and prayer. We can also see areas of grace, miracles, healing, peace and joy in the Lord. That's always a blessing to see when we reflect and are convicted when we don’t see the fruits of the Spirit. If we are not in the word of God or actively being doers, we cannot see a reflection very well in that glass, we can't see reality. All we can see are the carnal things, because we have nothing to compare it to or nothing lighting the way so we can see clearly that reflection.
This brings up that last part we are talking about concerning eternal things. It leads us back into the Garden of Eden. Can you see the Tree of Life there and the Tree of Knowledge of Good and Evil there in this mirror of reality? How does that affect what we see in the glass dimly? This is why in our eternal state, we must work out our own faith with fear and trembling. We cannot enter the gate that is now guarded by fiery swords if that reflection is carnal. (Genesis 3:23-24)
This question remains, in this place of eternity....... is truth, love what remains in us. God calls us heavenly citizens that are made in his image, and he is our eternal Father. Jesus even said that we would be known by truth. (John 8:30-32) We were born in truth so we could live in that place with God for eternity! We were born so that we could return to God and be COVERED in his love. (Philippians 3:20-21, Genesis 1:26-27, 1 John 1:11-12)
Wow, isn't God just full of magnificence and splendor! His love is everlasting! His truth sets us free, and we have a mission to share our testimony and the gospel wherever we go! We have a promise to overcome by the words of our testimony and the blood of the Lamb!
From Everlasting to Everlasting
- Psalms 103:17-19
17 But the lovingkindness of the Lord is from everlasting to everlasting on those who [reverently] fear Him, And His righteousness to children’s children,
18 To those who honor and keep His covenant, and remember to do His commandments [imprinting His word on their hearts].
19 The Lord has established His throne in the heavens, And His sovereignty rules over all [the universe].”
Is your faith rising up? Mine sure is. These scriptures are so wonderful in affirming God’s love!
This Psalm in its beginning is calling our inner being to praise the Lord and the Psalm ends with a call for heaven and earth to join in praise. We praise because everlasting mercy (love) is the source of all our blessings and is sovereign over the universe. This everlasting love and everlasting truth is imprinted on the tablets of our hearts! Colossians 3:15 says
Let the peace of Christ [the inner calm of one who walks daily with Him] be the controlling factor in your hearts [deciding and settling questions that arise]. To this peace indeed you were called as members in one body [of believers]. And be thankful [to God always].
Thank you, Jesus, that peace comes to those who walk with you. In that unity, we have the bond of peace in the body of members! This brings us to consider God's eternal life in abundance and humanity’s apostasy. We can sow & reap life everlasting according to his plans for us. As God is getting his house in order globally, we can get our house in order personally. I believe that God is indicating to us that as we watch events unfold globally, that the seeds of deception and corruption are running deep.
The sowing of rejection towards God, rebellion sowing against him, and seeds of disobedience are growing in the fields everywhere. As followers of Christ, we are to set our face like a flint, spiritually acting in resolute determination. (Isaiah 50:7)
- Galatians 6:8
For the one who sows to his flesh [his sinful capacity, his worldliness, his disgraceful impulses] will reap from the flesh ruin and destruction, but the one who sows to the Spirit will from the Spirit reap eternal life.
Galatians 6:9-10 continues,
9 Let us not grow weary or become discouraged in doing good, for at the proper time we will reap, if we do not give in.
10 So then, while we [as individual believers] have the opportunity, let us do good to all people [not only being helpful, but also doing that which promotes their spiritual well-being], and especially [be a blessing] to those of the household of faith (born-again believers)."
Awakening Love
On July 9, 2024 I heard the Holy Spirit say, “the time of awakening love is here.” This includes the body of Christ globally and Israel, the apple of God’s eye. I was quickly led to Song of Solomon 2:7-12. It is a time of singing, a time of rescue and a time of thanksgiving as the bridegroom rescues us in this storm. Father God is gathering his people in Jesus Christ, the only door to the house. The fig tree has budded, and the vines are blossoming to give forth their fragrance.
The Holy Spirit continues speaking after I read those scriptures. This is what I heard.
This is a center point of cheering and celebration, as the downpour of rain falls with an overwhelming flow of the spiritual latter rain. The spiritual rain is falling upon the flowers, in the fields and of the vineyards. This abundance of spiritual rain does not dry up and its originator is the glory clouds in heaven! Rejoice in the sunlight of his marvelous glory!
When the spiritual heavens drop, God is doing new things, when the spiritual river flows, God is giving life wherever it goes. His kingdom's vats are overflowing, his storehouses are open to give renewal, restoration and resurrection life.
Wow, God our creator is the one who blesses the earth with spiritual righteousness and brings forth salvation. These spiritual things are for his glory! (Ezekiel 47:7-12, Isaiah 45:8-10)

Dream: River of Life Flowing
I had a dream in July of 2017 about a River of safety in the midst of storms. This started out with where I was at home, and I was speaking with the Lord. He told me the storms were coming. As I looked out the windows, I could see the storm clouds forming. He told me that I needed to pack up with enough supplies for 3 days. He instructed me that each one of us has to have a backpack, myself and my 2 children. He instructed me that I needed to get to a place of safety. So that's what I did. We quickly packed and got into the car and drove. As the kids and I were in the car it looked like I had made my way to the interstate. I could see very clearly the storms coming in.
What was so remarkable was that as it got closer and closer I could see that it was a tornado. But, instead of it being wind, it was water. It was over the land and not the sea and I could see three of them coming in our direction. Every town we passed; it was like a ghost town. I thought to myself “God, where is everybody?” I just got this gumption that I needed to stop and get to safety quickly. It just felt like the storms were even closer, almost like they were pursuing us. So, I pulled over at the very next exit to find a place to park and some kind of refuge. Every building in that little town was locked and empty. There was no one in this town as we continued to look for a place to take shelter. I looked to the skies and the storms were very, very close and I knew time was running out.
Then I saw a bigger building that looked like a warehouse of some sort. We tried to open the doors and again, they were locked. My kids began to panic, and they sat down on the ground asking what we were going to do. I heard the Holy Spirit say, “go behind the building.” So, I went behind the warehouse building and there was this raging river. It looked like rapid waters when you go canoeing and I was reluctant to get in. I have seen people get injured getting in waters like that. I heard the Holy Spirit tell me to turn around and look at those pallets. The Holy Spirit also told me, go get your children, grab the pallet and jump in. I will take you to safety and so just trust in God.
I trusted the Holy Spirit, grabbed my kids and shared the plan with them. They were reluctant too. I explained to them that God told me to do this and that He was going to help us. They finally agreed and so all 3 of us hung on to the palette and jumped in together. Just as we did that, the storm was right upon us, and we were escaping this destructive storm by a thread. It was carrying us very quickly away from this town and the storm hurricane tornadoes. As I held on tightly, I was praying in tongues and praying for God to preserve us.
Miraculous Preservation in the River of Life
This river continued to flow, and we could see images of houses passing by, we could see towns, businesses and trees torn up as we were carried downstream. There were even parts that we could see where the trees were as a canopy hiding us from the storms. After a while we could discern a slowing down of this chaotic weather. The destruction had happened so fast, but now it was slowing down, and the scenery became more stable. We just had been taken down this river going from place to place, on and on and on and on. Eventually we arrived at calm waters. The further we got the less ripples were in the water unstill a certain point when I realized the waters were so still, it looked smooth.
At last, we were in a place of joy because we had just been miraculously preserved in this river! I thanked God for his provision through all of that. My kids were grateful and thankful as well as hugging each other. That was the end of the dream. When I woke up, I recorded it and knew it was to encourage not just myself but my spiritual family. I knew it had to do with end times when prophetic storms and turbulent times would be moving quickly. Stormy times, chaotic times, perilous times! It also was a blessing and reminder as the Holy Spirit brought to my remembrance that that Moses was carried down a river to a place of safety. Noah had refuge in the great deluge and God was so faithful!

God's Protection in Chaotic Times
It was like God was trying to tell me no matter what comes upon this earth, no matter where you find yourself and what situation that you're in, trust in obedience. Have faith and hope in where your help comes from. I sure needed that, and it was sealed upon my heart as he was giving wisdom and strategy for the perilous times ahead. There are so many Psalms that teach about refuge in God. That river of life is God's protection, guidance and sustaining us. Being brought to that place of peace reminded me of Psalm 23 where it speaks of being led to the green grass and peaceful, still waters.
That green grass you know is a place of provision. It is a place of nourishment where we are fed by Gods word written and spoken as sheep in his pastures. That good instruction that comes from God Almighty then leads us to the still, peaceful waters, his very presence. That place of peace, that place of trust is where we can drink deeply and be satisfied! The peaceful water of life is where all things live. In the word we learn that we will thirst no more when we have a drink of that living water! Hallelujah blessed are those who hunger and thirst for righteousness, they shall be fed!
This dream really turned out to be a place that I can return to and be reminded of the eternal love and eternal truth of God. Such an encouragement for me because in Revelations 22, that pure life that proceeds out of the throne of God and the Lamb of God, is available to every son and daughter in the Kingdom. This pointed me to God's provision as he is always enough and always on time. With everything going on around the globe between politics, government, economics, with many controversies and scandals all around us. We must trust God to lead, guide and protect our families through this chaotic time. God’s peace has authority over that destructive chaos that wants to confuse the nations, tongues and the minds of peoples. Awake, awake, put on your strength, put on beautiful garments, put on righteousness in Christ Jesus! Shake yourself from the dust and live in liberty descendants of Jerusalem, descendants of Zion. (Isaiah 52:1-3)
